Fried Green Tomatoes Engagement Session

It's a Sunday afternoon in Juliette, Georgia when we meet Alex and Libby in front of the Whistlestop Cafe, made famous by the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" that was filmed in the town.

The two are excited to change into their Ruth and Idgie-inspired clothing bought especially for this occasion. Alex (Ruth) changes into a flowery dress that is a bit shorter than she had expected when she ordered it from E-Bay and Libby (Idgie) changes into coveralls with a white shirt. Their little girl is already dressed in tiny coveralls.

The women, who both obviously love the story of two women in love written by Fannie Flagg, have traveled from Colchester, England to this small town in Georgia for a Fried Green Tomato-themed engagement session.

And Sharon and I are delighted to be the photographers chosen to document their reenactment of the endearing story.

Walking on the train tracks ... an obvious photo. No one's boot got caught this time.

Libby and Alex had to order Fried Green Tomatoes, which they had never eaten before. They loved them. I mean, what's not to love!
