Julie and Jackie's Table and Main Wedding in Roswell
Here's a sneak peek from our first wedding of 2018 ... and boy was this a fun-filled wedding! As well as a brrrrrr-filled wedding.
Thankfully, the folks at Table & Main Restaurant in Roswell were able to turn up the temperature outdoors with heaters and hot chocolate, the 30 degree temps were more than bearable.
Oh, and in addition to the heaters, there was a roaring fire in the fireplace to warm the minister and the couple ... Jackie and Julie.
Blair, Jackie and Julie's friend, who had never officiated a wedding, put in a stellar performance, as did close friend's Lara and Val, who toasted the couple during the ceremony.
Julie's son Ben served as the ring bearer and an attentive witness.
A candle lighting ritual gave everyone who attended a chance to participate in the ceremony and show their support for Jackie and Julie.
Ben and friends played Jenga and corn hole, while the adults told tales and shared fun and laughter around the lunch table.
Guests had a choice of she crab soup or arugula salad for starters and shrimp and grits, a veggie plate, or a Brasstown burger with pimento cheese. (The burger looked so awesome that even someone who hasn't eaten meat in forty years, me, was tempted.)
The chefs at Table & Main baked up a delectable cake for the traditional cake cutting.
All and all, it was a day filled with warmth, love and laughter.
